Testimonials
I met Geno as my personal trainer during my tenure as Deputy Mayor and Health Commissioner of the City of Philadelphia.
In the 2.5 years that we have worked together, I have gotten to know Geno through the lens both of a client and a colleague. I have had the chance to hear from those that he has mentored about his extraordinary skills as a teacher and guide. He has had a long-term commitment to working within the wellness and fitness industry.
Geno is a professional. I am impressed that he stands above the other trainers in his cohort both not only because of his knowledge and intellectual approach to the work, but also because of his dedication to the field. His clients are eclectic. He personalizes their regimens. He is constantly looking for new and better approaches that meet the needs of his clients and his colleagues and seems always to seek to understand differently how to interpret the patterns of movement and strength that he observes. For example, he undertook FMS training, and has worked with another trainer whom he has mentored to tailor a program for me that has been life-changing.
Convincing this old physician to back-up and accept a very different training regimen was no small feat for him. He used both argument and example from my own history as a fitness learner to convince me of the wisdom of his recommendation. Then he carefully illustrated throughout our new training program the differences in approach. He reassured me regularly about progress, about philosophy, and about the need to use data about my personal strength and ability to craft a new program. And it has worked. Geno’s personal charisma, his smart communications, and his commitment to his clients produces real outcomes.

Geno is smart, talented and motivated. he's also flexible and creative, and imparts a deep understanding of how the body functions. we've worked together twice a week since we moved to Philadelphia two years ago. it's amazing - i'm more vigorous, better co-ordinated, more agile and stronger than ever before - all this at 71 years old.

Although I have worked with trainers for 15 years, I have found Geno Aloi as a person and as a fitness trainer to be without peer. Rather than focus on traditional weight lifting and machines, he focuses on the core of the body and then moves outward with a mixture of pilates and free weight exercises. Each workout is creative and thoughtful, providing minimum impact and maximum effect (which is particularly important to those of us who nurse old sporting injuries).
Geno's character complements his training abilities. He is dependable, thoughtful, and kind; all qualities that are consistently reflected in interactions. I highly recommend Geno as a person and as a trainer. Thanks to Geno, I feel great!

Geno was our (My husband and I) personal trainer for almost two years . Therefore, I feel well qualified to comment on him. Recently we had to move to another state. Literally, we are missing Philadelphia mainly the fitness training (under the guidance of Geno). He is an excellent trainer with the perfect blend of tough and warm. As an individual, he is a great guy and kind hearted; who can motivate you when you need it. Above all, he has the tremendous scientific knowledge of the human body. Being a medical person, I can sense his strong background knowledge in Kinesiology and human anatomy.
If anyone is looking for a trainer who uses a holistic approach then Geno is the ideal choice for you without any doubt.

I recommend Geno Aloi as a personal trainer. I began training with Geno about two months ago. Since then I have increased my flexibility, balance, and core strength. As a 70 year old woman who desires to remain active and continue to ski, these areas are extremely important for me. In addition, I need to have a trainer who will take into account past injuries. Geno has done that remarkably well. He uses a combination of stretching; yoga poses, and weight training to improve my core strength and balance.
The exercise regimen is varied and I am motivated to work on specific areas between sessions. Training with Geno has been a good experience and I recommend Geno as a personal trainer.
